Our Manifesto
Garnai is building the wall-less members club for travel and experiences.
Travel is supposed to change us. We went somewhere we did not understand. We met people who lived differently. We experienced moments that shaped our identity. And we came back altered in ways we could not have planned for. Travel teaches us things we’d never be able to learn at home—in the realm of the familiar.
Although people are traveling more than ever, they are changing less.
Today, we can know everything about a place without ever venturing there. We readily eschew discomfort in favor of something safe and familiar. We struggle to purposefully place ourselves in situations that welcome change—and growth. We’ve forgotten how to communicate with strangers. We’ve forgotten how to listen. We’ve forgotten how to pay attention. We are lonelier than ever.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. We created Garnai to keep travel’s purpose alive and to build a community around it. We welcome people who already live this way, want the company of others that get it, and have an insatiable appetite for the kind of travel we can’t get enough of. Garnai is a home for people who crave adventure and community, edge and beauty, connection and groundedness. It’s for people who love the unconventional, and who love to play.
Unlike a traditional member’s club, Garnai isn’t defined by a single address. We don’t exist within four walls. Our community comes together through private gatherings, cultural events, hosted journeys, and shared experiences—both at home and around the world.
The club exists wherever its members come together.
Everything we do is guided by that purpose. From an intimate dinner close to home, to a group journey on the other side of the world, to an extraordinary trip designed for our members and their families, every experience is designed with the same intention: bring people together, shape whom they become, and make them feel alive.
Our ambition is simple: build a community people are proud to belong to, not because of where it is, but because of how it makes them feel.
Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.
